Southridge resulted from a community based design process that involved input from over 600 community and staff. The Learning areas divide into four Neighborhoods which are linked to the Mainstreet. Each Neighborhood, sized for 450 students, has been designed to accommodate flexible teaching groupings and encourage integration of curriculum.

The success of a school in educating its students is founded in a fundamental level of interaction between all members of the school community.
